Metaphorical cards “Stories of Daruma” are set for women and about women. Colorful, vibrant images contain surreal metaphorical scenes with many symbols. They depict mysterious, strong, loving, playful, dancing, sad, joyful, blooming, living women. Each of us will find something relatable and close in their faces, and will have the opportunity to look at our personal request from a new point of view.
The deck can be used both in individual counseling and psychotherapy, and in group. The Daruma Stories metaphorical cards are intended for mature girls and women, as well as men who wish to explore their feminine side, Anima, or relationships with important female figures. The deck will help you meet positive and negative feelings, dreams and hopes, fear and pain through metaphor – in an environmentally safe format.
How do MACs work?
Metaphorical associative cards are a tool based on the principle projections. The everyday saying “Whoever hurts, talks about it” describes the work of the cards, because each individual will see in the image something unique, something that is relevant to him now. Therefore, in the “Daruma Stories” deck there is no clear division into resource and traumatic cards; almost every image can be interpreted differently by different clients.
Basic principles of work
The client’s response to the image can give information for work. Maps are not a means for making a diagnosis or drawing up a conclusion. MAC is a means of interaction and establishing contact, a tool for the work of the therapeutic alliance.
There are no cards of right and wrong, there are no choices of right and wrong. You should not draw straightforward conclusions based on the choices of your clients and subject them to evaluation. A consultant’s interpretation of a client’s card is taboo.
General work strategies
The following strategies for working with metaphorical associative cards can be distinguished:
- Arbitrary, open choice of cards em>(VO) – the client chooses the images himself. This is a safer and less disturbing option for the client.
- Closed selection, blind selection(B3) – the client selects a card at random, without seeing the image. This option, on the one hand, is more complex and requires deeper work, and on the other hand, it introduces an element of play, “fate.”
This deck can be used in:
- < li>Exploration of female identity,
- roles and subpersonalities,
- relationships with oneself and the world,
- intimacy and closeness with oneself,
- sexuality ,
