psychologists, psychotherapists, specialists other helping professions, leading psychological and transformational games, specialists in working with metaphorical associative maps, people engaged in self-knowledge and self-development.
Work techniques:
1. “Getting to know yourself”
Goal and objectives:
Get to know yourself, understand your qualities, feelings and desires.
Algorithm:
Face up, select two cards from the deck that answer the question: “What am I like now?”
Face down, take out one card for the same question.
Reveal the cards one by one, answering the questions:
What character is this?
What does he feel?
What does he think about?
What qualities does he have?
What is he afraid of?
How does he act then?
What does he want?
What will help him realize his desires?
How is this about you, your feelings and desires?
Q At the end of the work, summarize.
2. “Masculinity”
Goal and objectives:
Explore the theme of masculinity (for men), the theme of the inner man (for women).
Algorithm:
From the deck face up, select two cards and two cards face down with a question :
“What is my inner man?”
Reveal each card in turn using questions:
What are his feelings and thoughts?
What are his action strategies?
What are his personality traits and skills?
What makes him courageous?
From the deck, choose two cards face up and two cards face down with the question:
“What will help reveal your masculinity (inner man)?”
Reveal them one by one using questions:
What are his feelings and thoughts?
What are his strategies for action?
What are his qualities and skills?
What does this say about you?
At the end of the work, summarize.
3. “Inner critic”
Goal and objectives:
Awareness and study of the critical part of the personality (inner parent), which is responsible for requirements, rules and oughts (must, cannot, must, etc.)
Algorithm:
Remember your inner speech. What dialogues usually happen in your head with yourself when you scold and criticize yourself? What words do you say to yourself? In what tone? What labels do you use? What do you require? What are you prohibiting?
Face up, choose one card that represents your inner critic (a card that you don’t like or seems to depict a character who might put pressure on others).
Reveal it with questions:
What character is this?
How does he treat you?
What does he want to tell you?
Why does he criticize you?
Why? For what?
What does he want to protect you from? What is he afraid of?
Try to communicate with him. Tell him that you take into account his experiences and recommendations, that you will be attentive and careful. Thank him for his concern and tell him that you are already an adult and can make your own decisions.
How does he react?
Perhaps over time, the image of the inner critic will change and transform. If necessary, repeat this exercise periodically to negotiate with him.
4. “Spheres of life”
Goal and objectives:
Explore spheres of life through subpersonalities.
Algorithm:
For each area of life (relationships, society, work, money, leisure, health, spirituality), take out one card face down with the question: “Which part of my personality is responsible for this area?”
Reveal each card in turn using questions:
What is he like? What qualities does he have?
What does he usually do? What is he responsible for?
What does he love? What does he not like?
What can you call this character?
What other useful things can he do for this area of life? What opportunities can you take advantage of?
How can you implement this in your life?
